This 14-meter high (about 72 feet) gate house was the entrance of the village when coming from the South. It was called the "Porte du Midi", or South Gate. It was built in 1312 at the same time as the second curtain wall to circumvent the newest part of the village.

This scene has been designed to show the various medieval techniques used to build such constructions. The final model will feature many masons, blacksmiths, woodcutters and more.
